Wow! What an ice storm saga on the way home from work - and the slippery driveway! (I promised not to say Wow! if I should ever be on the Antique Road Show and a piece of our junk is worth $100,000).

Yesterday I ordered a collection of 10 dahlias from Swan Island Dahlias in Canby, Oregon. Ordered a collection last year and they grew beautifully. The Seattle Post-Intelligensa has great gardening columns - under Lifestyle. I discovered Ed Hume seeds from this site - he has a neat site and good information. I am probably going to order his booklet - planting by the moon - I've heard that there might be some weight to it.

Since January 1, I've placed orders with High Country Gardens, High Country Roses, Swan Island Dahlias, McClure Zimmerman Bulbs, Seeds of Change, Territoral Seeds and Gardener's Supply. Dennis is getting nervous - especially when he seems me with spreadsheets figuring out what I have spent and will spend.

Take care. G.
