The (first?) Ft. Worth hamfest is coming up in a couple of weeks, January 11-12, 2008. They are going to launch a weather balloon bearing a repeater, 445.800 input and 147.56 output. I'm on the fringe for using it, although I should be able to hear it. I think I'll be in line of sight from around 60,000 feet up to when the balloon pops around 80,000 feet. I'll have to build a beam and see what happens.
